We've Purchased and Moved Into Lavin Chiropratic
2011 has been a year of exciting growth and expansion as I have helped my patients restore and maintain their good health. It is with much excitement that I announce my purchase of Lavin Chiropractic in Castro Valley!
My new office is conveniently located across the street from my old office on Redwood Road. This means it is still directly off of the Redwood Road Exit (Highway 580), next to the Castro Valley BART station and is now next door to Java Bob's Cafe. Also, there is a private parking lot behind the building where you may safely park your cars.
The new chiropratic office is much larger with more treatment rooms and the ability to utilize physical therapy machines such as ultrasound and interferrential units to better aid patients through the healing process. I continue my commitment to provide each and every one of my patients with outstanding chiropractic care at my new office and I look forward to seeing you there at your next appointment.

Dr. Martins is a native of the East Bay and graduate of Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, CA where she was bestowed the title of “Honors Intern” for her excellence in patient care. Prior to graduate school, Dr. Martins obtained a Bachelors Degree in Biology from Sonoma State University. She began practicing as an Exam Doctor after graduating at Athens Chiropractic in San Carlos after which she began treating her patients in San Leandro. Currently Dr. Martins' office is conveniently located in Castro Valley directly off of Highway 580 and across the street from the Castro Valley BART Station. She prides herself in providing exceptional care for her patients and donating her resources to the local community thru Health Talks, fund-raising donations and much more.

In order for one's body to function properly there needs to be clear communication between your central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) and the rest of your body. Dr. Martins uses a modern, gentle and effective chiropractic technique called Activator Methods [which eliminates any twisting, cracking or popping that often makes patients feel uncomfortable]. The use of this method allows Dr. Martins to detect and correct misalignments in the joints of the spine as well as the rest of the body. Any misalignment in the joints can cause interference in the body's communication. When there is a deficiency in this vital communication, the body is unable to function optimally and one's health and wellness can be impaired.
